Skool review (Skool vs. Kajabi, Skool vs. Teachable)

Skool is a new education platform for teachers and students. It’s a competitor of other popular platforms as Teachable, Kajabi, etc. Becoming a teacher is super easy and super rewarding at Skool. But let’s see what can it offer.

What is Skool?

Skool is a relatively new platform, funded by Sam Ovens (previously owned and exited from consulting.com) in 2019. The platform is really great upgrade from the industry standards lead by Teachable, Kajabi, Thinkific, etc. which were nice alternatives for those who wanted to host their own online school… But let’s be honest: Teachable and Kajabi became lazy, buggy and not very user friendly.

Skool is super easy to use. It’s USP is that you can gather your course offerings, communities, and events in one spot. This will give your students a much better experience. You won’t have to pay for Kajabi/Teachable or spend time on Facebook anymore.

The pricing is really friendly, too: $99/month flat. This is their only subscription plan. It includes everything. So it’s also really simple. Plus, you can start your 14-day free trial now and enjoy a plan with no hidden fees, plus the freedom to cancel anytime.

Review of Skool key-features

You can give your customers an improved experience by putting your courses, communities, and event schedules together in one place. That’s in itself would be worth the switch. But there is more.

Skool groups are way more engaging than Facebook groups — thanks to gamification — It’s resulting in greater daily active user numbers. Your members will also appreciate the convenience of only needing one login for everything and the ease of use.

It’s a bonus, that you can receive 40% of the subscription fee of each member that creates a Skool group — it’s sort of an affiliate program but it’s all automated.

The best part: setting up your Skool group and adding members is a breeze and can be done in less than an hour without any instructions.

In the end, you’ll save time, money, and become more productive — simplifying your life in the process.

Skool vs. Teachable

We prefer Skool over Teachable. Teachable has bad customer support compared to Skool, which has great customer support. Additionally, Teachable is more expensive at $119/month compared to Skool, which is only $99/month.

Note: To be correct — Teachable has a $39/month plan, too, but it lacks a lot of features that are available at Skool.

When it comes to choosing a learning platform, Skool has gained popularity as a simple and clean option compared to Teachable. With easy-to-use and navigate features, it is ideal for those who are new to online learning. One of the standout features of Skool is the ability to attach a community to courses, making the learning process much more social. Additionally, email blasts can help to bring back members who have disappeared. Skool also provides features like Community, Classroom and Calendar, making it an ideal platform to run a mastermind, course, or weekly meeting.

All these are there at Teachable, too — but the execution is much much worse (not user-friendly), and again Teachable is more expensive.

Overall, Skool is a great option for anyone looking to learn or teach online. With its user-friendly features, it is easy to get started and stay engaged.

Skool vs. Kajabi (reviewing pros and cons)

Kajabi and Skool are two popular online education platform options for business owners looking to expand their digital presence into the education/teaching niche. When comparing the two, there are several notable differences in terms of cost and features that should be considered.

Kajabi offers three subscription plans, one for $149 per mont, one for $199 per month and one for $399/month.

Skool, however, is offered at a more affordable rate of $99 per month.

In terms of features, Kajabi has some limitations on the number of contacts and features available. Skool, however, offers full access to all features.

Furthermore, Kajabi does not have any meaningful community features, whereas Skool has a range of awesome community features.

It feels like, Kajabi is more suited for bigger schools, while Skool is accessible to one-person businesses as well.

In conclusion, Kajabi and Skool are two popular software options with different price points and features. We prefer Skool over Kajabi in every aspect.
